Pretoria Callies 2-0 victory over City Rovers seemed unlikely on Saturday, considering Callies were bottom of the table, but goals from Philani Cele and Edmore Chirambadare sealed the victory in Potchefstroom.
The weekend action began in Cape Town on Friday when Cape Town All Stars and Hungry Lions drew 1-1. The promoted team from the Northern Cape remain unbeaten.

Free State Stars missed a chance to go top as they drew 0-0 at home to Cape Town Spurs, who are 15th on table, and are yet to win a game. Richards Bay and Venda Football Academy drew 1-1.
Polokwane City moved into second spot as they beat JDR Stars in a thriller on Sunday, while there draws in Sunday’s two other games, Black Leopards and AmaTuks playing to a goalless draw, while TS Sporting and Uthongathi finished 1-1.
