Grobler Challenging Himself To Score More
SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler is excited to get the 2021/2022 season going and says the club want to do better this season than in recent past.
The club announced on Wednesday that Grobler had picked up four club awards for his performances last season.
Grobler was the top scorer in the league last season, scoring 16 goals.
While their league campaign only kicks off on the 21st, SuperSport are in action on Saturday the 14th when they begin their MTN8 campaign against Golden Arrows.
Grobler says he is excited to get the season going, and is really hoping to break the 20 goal barrier this season.
“Ja, at this stage, looking at the new season, just want to get over preseason,” Grobler told the club’s media department.
“Preseason is not the most enjoyable time, but it’s very important. And we’re very close to the end now. I think, a week to go before the first game. It’s so exciting.
“And then, in terms of setting targets and that, right now I just want to get to the first game feeling fit, feeling fresh, feeling ready. And so far, so good.
“And, ja, I think we let ourselves down in the last couple of seasons, we want to be better, and that’s something we’re going to work on.
“But ja, just just excited to get going again, and hopefully this will be the year that the 20 goal barrier will be broken, and that’s something I’m challenging myself towards.
“So ja, just all in all, looking looking forward to this new season.”
