JZ On Mhango’s Angry Reaction
Josef Zinnbauer has commented on Gabadinho Mhango appearing upset with his substitution against Baroka.
Pirates secured an important 2-1 win over Baroka which saw them climb into third place on the log.
However, they could have closed the game much earlier with Mhango missing several good chances. As a consequence, Zinnbauer replaced the forward with match winner Terrence Dzvukamanja and Mhango didn’t seem too pleased.
The coach, though, downplayed his players reaction, saying it’s normal.
“I don’t know, you have to ask him,” he told SuperSport.
“But it’s normal (that you’re upset), the guys want to win. He had a lot of chances before and he wanted to score. As a striker you come out and then you have not a chance to make a goal.
“He make a good game and he scored the equaliser. It was very important for us close to the half-time and he make a good game. But next time he has those chances, he can score.
Zinnbauer also insisted that it was important for his side to collect the three points but warned his players that they will need to focus on their final league game to secure third spot.
“A lot of chances. Close to the end of the game we get the lucky punch,”
“It was important (to get) all the three points. It was a game with three points and we have another game on Saturday with another three points. The season is not finished and we need to work on a lot of things.
“I’m happy about we make now a better performance than the last game and we had a lot of chances. If you score earlier and more, it’s easier for us and then you get more self confidence for the next game.”
Pirates face TTM on Saturday and a victory would see them secure third spot on the log.
