Junior Khanye believes that Kaizer Chiefs should not have appointed Stuart Baxter and revealed whom they should have gone for instead.
The former Amakhosi midfielder discussed the coaching changes at Chiefs in his iDiski Times column this week.
He explained why Gavin Hunt failed at Naturena before insisting that Chiefs should have gone for Eric Tinkler before he re-joined Cape Town City.
“When it comes to the Head Coach, Kaizer Chiefs had a chance to speak to Eric Tinkler before he joined Cape Town City,” he writes in iDiski Times.
“He would have been a perfect choice for Chiefs with an assistant coach like Dan Malesela.
“They would have lifted this club and brought it back to its former glory.”
Chiefs appointed Baxter on Wednesday, with the Englishman returning for a second time to Naturena.
Baxter lifted four trophies during his first stint with the Glamour Boys and agreed to re-join Amakhosi on a two-year contract with an option for another two.
