Cape Town City forward Fagrie Lakay says that Golden Arrows will be highly motivated for their DStv Premiership match on Saturday at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
It was City who ended second-placed Arrows’ unbeaten run in the league, so Arrows will have extra incentive for this home game.
Lakay says that while recent results for 8th placed City have been disappointing, they have had some time to work on fixing things.
“Recently we haven’t been getting the results we wanted,” Lakay says in the build-up to the game.
“But the break was good for us, gave us some time to focus on the few things that we want to change, and work on going into the next game, and I think that’s good.”
“And I think when it comes to scoring goals, firstly, you want to put yourself in a position where you can actually score the goal. And once you’re in that position it’s all about keeping calm and focused on putting the ball in the net.”
“And Golden Arrows, second on the log, so obviously they’re highly motivated. We know it’s not going to be an easy game. So we’re up for it and we’re willing to go there and put up a fight.”
