Ahead of their DStv Premiership game against Maritzburg United on Saturday, TS Galaxy goalkeeper Marlon Heugh says the team is is starting to believe in themselves and their abilities.
Galaxy have been on a good run since Owen Da Gama took over at the club, and they find themselves in seventh position on the log, 12 points ahead of their opponents who are 15th.
Heugh says though that while the team is becoming a family, they must not get ahead of themselves, and need to take it one game at a time, and keep improving.
“I think, yes, we have been very good run, but we shouldn’t get too ahead of ourselves, we just have to keep consistent and stay believing in ourselves and our abilities,” Heugh told the club’s media department.
“And I think we started to do that. The run that we had now, it’s just proof that we do have a lot of potential and we do have a lot of leaders in our team.”
“And I think from now it’s just to improve step by step, one game at a time, keep on improving so in the future, we can achieve much more than what we’re currently doing.”
“I can’t see the future but the moment the way we are playing, we’re playing really good football, I think we understand now what we have to do and what we need to achieve.”
“So I think to keep this running tact, we just have to keep focused. treat each game as a final, and let God lead the way and keep pushing, push one another.”
“As we have to play as a family and we are becoming one now. So that’s good.”
