Just before halftime Bradley Grobler had two successive attempts at goal, first with his head, then with his boot, but Masuluke saved both.
Mbulu would find a late equaliser for Baroka, when his long range effort was deflected into the SuperSport goal in the 80th minute.
Tshakhuma 1-2 Black Leopards
Leopards came from a goal down to beat TTM 2-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
While Leopards remain 16th, they are now only four points behind TTM.
Rodrick Kabwe’s free kick was on target in the second minute, but Washington Arubi made a comfortable save low down. Thabo Rakhale had a chance on the other end five minutes later, but it went wide of goal.
Another chance fell for Kabwe in the 12th minute, but again Arubi was up to the task. On the other end Farai Madhanaga was off target in the 19th minute, as was Celimpilo Ngema four minutes later.
The chances kept coming, Arubi saved Sanele Mathenjwa’s in the 24th minute, while Madhanaga was off target again two minutes later. Jonas Mendes had to be alert in the 30th minute, as he made a good save to deny Thembisani Nevhulamba.
TTM were awarded a penalty in the 42nd minute when Ngema was fouled by Isaac Masia. Alfred Ndengane stepped up and put the ball in the net.
Leopards were level just before halftime, a great free kick from Kabwe giving Arubi no chance.
Leopards were into the lead in the 56th minute, as Mathenjwa reacted quickly to head in after Arubi had got a touch to a cross, but only deflected it toward the Leopards player.
Ngema had a chance in the 65th minute, but Mendes made a good save to deny him.
Ovidy Karuru had a great opportunity to score in the 77th minute, but he fluffed shot in front of goal, and perhaps should have set up Rodney Ramagalela instead.
Tokelo Rantie forced Mendes into a save two minutes later, before the woodwork came to Leopards’ rescue, as Lehlohonolo Nonyane’s long range effort beat Mendes, but found the crossbar.
