Golden Arrows 1-2 Black Leopards
Black Leopards picked up a 2-1 win against ten-man Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Leopards took the lead in the 32nd minute through Mohammad Anas, who headed in a rebound after Lifa Hlongwane’s initial long range effort smashed against the crossbar, leaving Sifiso Mlungwana flat-footed.
Anas had the ball in the net again four minutes later, but he was off-side, as the visitors had the better of the first half.
Arrows came out in the second half showing a lot more intent. And finally the pressure relented as Michael Gumede knocked in his fourth goal of the season to find the equaliser.
Arrows were reduced to ten men when Pule Mmodi was shown a straight red card in the 73rd minute for a foul on Kenneth Nthatheni.
Anas grabbed the winner in stoppage time, scoring a great long range effort to snatch the three points.
Arrows miss out on a opportunity to go up to third, and remain fourth in the DStv Premiership, while Leopards move off the bottom spot into 15th place.
