Royal AM president Shauwn Mkhize has reacted to her side’s 4-1 thrashing over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
Mkhize and her family bought the DStv Premiership status of Bloemfontein Celtic and moved the first team from Free State to Durban.
On Saturday, they collected a massive win after beating Amakhosi 4-1 at the FNB Stadium, which resulted in wild celebrations by Mkhize and her family in the stands.
“What a royal Saturday this has been!!! My team @royalam_fc played their hearts out on the field of play and brought home 3 points. As your president, I am so proud of you guys. Thank you for your hard work and the team effort. You guys understood the brief: UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL,” she said on social media.
“To my family, friends and supporters thank you for always being there and not giving up on us.
“Well done to our man of the match Victor Letsoalo, you played well son.
“Most of all I just want to take a moment to thank God for today. History was made….WOW WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!!”
On Sunday, she also commented on the victory and also addressed the wild celebrations in the stands.
“Waking up this morning after last nights’ win, I find myself still on cloud 9. What a great way to wake up…A WINNER,” she said.
“I must say that a key lesson I’ve learnt about winning is that you should celebrate the moment but don’t get too caught up in it and when you’re done celebrating ask yourself: ‘WHAT NEXT?’. Always be one step ahead or your victory will be short lived.”
Royal AM next face TS Galaxy on Sunday.
