Mabena Looking For Home Win For Royal AM

Royal AM captain Ndumiso Mabena says they need to fight for a win in their home game against Cape Town City.

The new DStv Premiership franchise lost 1-0 to Swallows in their first game in the top flight, but the team, who bought Bloemfontein Celtic’s franchise, are now looking forward to their first home game in KZN.

Mabena says it’s important to use the home ground advantage, as nothing is guaranteed on the road.

“Ja look, I think we’ve prepared very well,” Mabena told Royal AM’s media department.

“Having said that, we know that we just played now on Sunday, so yesterday, it was just recovery and today was just preparations towards the game based on how the opponents are going to play against us.

“So everything is going well, so far. So we’re looking forward to it and we’re ready to go and fight for the three points that. Ja, we’re playing at home and it’s important for us to collect points.

“Because we know it’s not easy to get points away, but here at home, we must just make it a rock, it’s is our home ground, we need the three points.”
