Rulani Mokwena says that Mamelodi Sundowns are oozing with confidence ahead of their DSTV Premiership clash against Orlando Pirates this weekend.
Mokwena was speaking ahead of the game scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Loftus Stadium.
The Sundowns Co Head Coach says they are fortunate enough to have a lot of quality and depth in their squad, so while they do have injury and medical concerns within the camp, he is confident that whatever team is put on the field, they will be able to put in a good performance.
“We oozing with a lot of confidence,” Mokwena said ahead of the Pirates game.
“We looking forward to the next match,we are not a club that cries over the unavailability of players, we are blessed to have so much quality within our squad and it gives us a lot of options at our disposal.”
“Is it changes for rotation? No. Is it changes because we want to give opportunities to players? No. I think it would be very irresponsible for us to do that when so many people have invested so much into the club. There are so many people who have invested their emotions, their happiness index depends on the results of Mamelodi Sundowns. Therefore we have to be extremely cautious and diligent in being responsible with regards to how we use the playing personnel.”
“But the reality is we’ve been forced into playing different cards in different matches. But we don’t complain about it because we’ve got the quality to be able to go into matches confident that we can get a very good result.”
