Nthethe Lands First Head Coach Role

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana defender Thabo Nthethe has been appointed the new head coach of ABC Motsepe League side Casric Bucs FC.

After initially being roped in to assist Sly Mosala a few months ago at the Tshwane based outfit, Nthethe has been promoted to the senior head coach role following his exit.

“Yes, I am coaching now at Casric Bucs,” Nthethe confirmed to iDiski Times. “I was assisting Sly and after he left that’s when the chairman [approached me] and appointed me as head coach.

“Mosala left because we were not getting results, you know how football works.”

The 37-year-old retired from professional football after a stint with Chippa United in 2019 and was appointed as the team manager at TS Galaxy.

However, his stint with the Rockets was short-lived as he lasted just five months in the role while they were in the GladAfrica Championship.
