Samir Nurkovic’s agent has commented on rumours linking the Kaizer Chiefs striker with a move to Al Ahly and also explained Nurkovic’s thoughts on his future.
The 29-year-old has attracted a lot of interest from clubs in North Africa but no sufficient bid has materialised yet.
Among the clubs keen on Nurkovic is Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly, as reported by iDiski Times in edition 30.
Nurkovic’s agent has now confirmed Mosimane’s side are among a host of clubs interested in the striker but no concrete offer has been tabled yet.
“Pitso is interested but it’s not realistic (that Nurkovic can join Ahly) at the moment. There are many other clubs who’re interest but at the moment we’ve nothing on the table (in terms of official offers),” Dajan Šimac told the Sowetan.
Šimac also confirmed that he has spoken with the Chiefs striker, saying the Serbian feels happy at Naturena.
“Samir is really comfortable… he likes to continue playing for Chiefs. He’s not pushing me.
“I am his agent, so he could say ‘hey listen I want to move’, but no, he’s not doing that.
“I spoke to him this week, telling him that let’s wait. I have made him aware that he must focus on his job at Chiefs and he’s willing to do that.
“If the move happens, it happens and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.”
