Pirates To Meet JZ For Crunch Talks
Orlando Pirates’ management are reportedly set to meet Josef Zinnbauer this week to discuss the German tactician’s future.
Zinnbauer lead the club to their first piece of silverware since 2014, lifting the MTN8 trophy earlier in the 2020/21.
He also guided Pirates into third spot, qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup, but a section of Pirates fans are unhappy with the German.
They wanted to organise a #JZOut march to Orlando Stadium on the final day of the season, which was only cancelled due to increased COVID-19 regulations.
The club’s management, though, will meet with Zinnbauer this week.
“Zinnbauer is set to meet with the management this week before being allowed to go home to Germany for holidays,” a source told Kick Off.
“But there is nothing sinister. It’s a normal procedure at the end of the season for the coach to submit his technical report. Obviously, his future will also be discussed.”
Zinnbauer still has contract until June 2022 with the Buccaneers, but it remains to be seen whether he will see out his time with the club.
