Ramos Happy To Re-Unite With Middendorp
Maritzburg United’s new performance and video analyst Pedro Ramos says he is looking forward to working with coach Ernst Middendorp again.
Ramos takes over the role vacated by Paul Lamb, who has moved on to Cape Town.
The Portuguese-born analyst worked with Middendorp at Bangkok United in Thailand.
He is one of two new technical members to re-unite with the German mentor, with Maahier Davids brought back to the club as an assistant coach.
“My last team was Bangkok United in Thailand. I was there for two years and worked there also with coach Ernst,” Ramos told the Team of Choice’s media department.
“Before joining Maritzburg, I’m worked for Cape Verde national team as a head of analysis. I’ve always had a good relationship with coach Ernst, he was always 100% professional with me.
“I like to work with him and here also I am feeling very comfortable with him here, so far all good.”
“PMB, so far I don’t know too much of the city – my current life is here are the Harry Gwala Stadium my condominium, the supermarket.
“Regarding the people of PMB, I was well received by everybody. They are all funny guys and so far I like it here, the weather is good, it’s quite similar with the spring in my country, so far all good.”
“I know that in the past the club has enjoyed good seasons – the top five, the top eight, some cup semi-finals and finals. So, I hope we can have a soft season, not like last season where we were fighting for relegation.
“I believe we build a nice team, and we will give to the people of the city an entertaining and good season.”
