Rantie Begins Another Comeback

Tokelo Rantie has been included on the bench for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila for the Nedbank Cup match against SuperSport United, as the former Bafana Bafana regular attempts another comeback.

Rantie, who has 40 Bafana caps, has seen his career lose momentum ever since returning from Europe, with personal issues overshadowing football.

He first joined Cape Town City, but ended up leaving the club without playing a game, though did make the bench once.

A similar failed attempt to resurrect his career followed at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he left before making an appearance.

He then trained at Bloemfontein Celtic, before being linked with moves to Kenya and Swaziland, before TTM stepped in earlier this year.

The former Orlando Pirates striker played over 100 games in Europe for teams like Malmo, Bournemouth and Gençlerbirliği.
