RIP Ian Palmer

iDiski Times is saddened by the news of the passing of Ian Palmer, and sends condolences to the Palmer family, his friends and the football fraternity at large.

The news of the 55-year-old’s passing was confirmed on Thursday.

Palmer was a former Orlando Pirates player, however his career was cut short due for health reasons.

He then turned his hand to coaching, and he worked at a number of clubs including Manning Rangers, Maritzburg United, Santos, Chippa United and Milano United.

After a short absence due to his health, Palmer returned to coaching at North West club Casric in the ABC Motsepe League, leading them to the playoffs, where they narrowly missed out in 2019.

Casric were once Palmeros, a club that Palmer had co-owned.

iDiski Times once again sends condolences to all his loved ones.
