The South African football fraternity was hit hard by the sad news of the passing of former player, respected coach and Hellenic club president Mark Byrne on Sunday.
Mr Byrne, the son of the legendary Budgie Byrne (and brother of David, and brother-in-law of Gavin Hunt), was someone who contributed immensely to the local game, playing a role in the development of many young footballers, and current professionals.
