Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has shed light on the conversation he had with a disgruntled fan after their 1-0 defeat to Stellenbosch at Orlando Stadium.
The Spaniard was seen after the game approaching the fan and having, what appeared to be a civil conversation with the supporter as they lost their first league game to the season.

Up to the defeat, in which Devin Titus scored the only goal of the game, Pirates had been near-perfect this season, with their only other defeat coming in the Carling Knockout Cup against Magesi at the same venue.
They retained the MTN8, reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League, beat CR Belouizdad away from home in their opening game and had a club-record start of seven consecutive wins.
“Nah nothing [out of the ordinary], sometimes people aren’t happy with the results and they express themselves, they have the right to do it in a respectful parameter of their communication,” Riveiro said in the post-match press conference about the interaction.
“I know it’s part of the job sometimes to listen to the critics and I just tried to listen carefully to what he wants to say to the coach at the time.

“Nothing else, just an interaction with the Pirates coach and one Buccaneer, nothing else. But it is all sorted, we have shaken hands and all is okay.”
Riveiro has overseen 18 games this season with 14 wins, two draws and two defeats across all competitions.
