Sundowns Stay Top After Week 2 of SNWL

SAFA National Women’s League (SNWL) defending Champions Mamelodi Sundowns top the log at the end of week two of the second campaign after defeating Durban Ladies 3-1 in Kwa Zulu Natal.

Sundowns enjoys top position due to a healthier goal difference.

Two other sides that have recorded two successive victories are JVW Girls Football Club and First Touch Academy, the rookies were made to work for their 2-1 win away at Golden Ladies while First Touch came from behind to defeat local rival MaIndies Ladies 2-1 in the Limpopo derby at Seshego stadium. 

JVW and First Touch are placed second and third places respectively on the table with six points while Golden Ladies and MaIndies lie 14th and 13th with no points.

University of Johannesburg got their first victory of the season after defeating Tsunami Queens 3-2.

Coal City Wizards suffered their second loss on the trot when they went down 3-2 to Richmond United at home.

University of Western Cape were 1-0 winners over Thunderbirds Ladies while Bloemfontein Celtic lost 1-0 to Tshwane University of Technology.
