SuperSport Unveil New Players
SuperSport United have officially unveiled two new players for their first team squad for the 2021/2022 DStv Premiership season.
The club confirmed that Kegan Johannes and Putco Khoza have joined on two year contracts, with options to extend.
While the club are only unveiling the players now, iDiski Times reported last month that Stan Matthews had actually confirmed that Johannes had joined already.
Johannes is a former Ajax Cape Town/Cape Town Spurs player, and is also a junior international, having helped the national u23 side qualify for the Tokyo Olympics when he was a key member of the team at the CAF under-23 Championships.
““Putco is an impressive young goalkeeper who has caught the eye of our goalkeeping coach Grant Johnson & has impressed both Andre Arendse & Kaitano Tembo while training with us,” Matthews told the club’s media department.
“Training with Ronwen, George and Baolefa can only make him a great prospect for the future.”
“Kegan is the ideal type of player we as SuperSport United love. He can play in three positions, he is young and ambitious , and very talented.
“Alongside the likes of Luke Fleurs , Keenan Philips and Jesse Donn, we feel Kegan Johannes will become a household name in South African football and play a big part in the future of our Club.”
