In an exclusive interview with iDiski Times’ Velile Mnyandu, Black Leopards general manager Tshifiwa ‘Chief’ Thidiela has revealed that he had a conversation with Kaizer Chiefs about Khuliso Mudau.
The topic came about when they were talking about player sales and what model they use in the transfer market.
When quizzed about rumours that Mudau had a selection fo suiters in the transfer window, including Orlando Pirates, Thidiela revealed that they had earmarked Chiefs as a possible destination, but explained why it could not progress.
“I don’t remember any discussion with any other team? Actually, actually, actually, it is us the club that says this boy’s has been doing well, he deserves to go somewhere,” Thidiela told iDiski Times.
“And we had to look and to say, where can you go? Unfortunately, I think I also had a discussion with Kaizer Chiefs, and obviously they still had their issue with Cas. And it couldn’t go anywhere.
“And it’s not even because we were looking for money or anything. But sometimes you find a player has reached a roof. He’s done what he can, as a local boy, how do we allow him to grow because that is our vision. And we want to bring more and them to prosper even more.”
Thidiela also touches on the topic of Mwape Musonda’s transfer to the UAE and more. If you can’t get a print copy, let us know where to send iDiski Times.
