Truter – A Team That Can Beat Any Team
Swallows Head Coach Brandon Truter says they will be looking to defend their unbeaten home record in the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Truter says their opponents are a massive team, capable of beating any team in the country, but he is hoping the occasion motivates his players.
He is a concerned however about the quick turnover between games, and is hoping fatigue isn’t an issue.
“Tough game. Tough game, tricky game, it’s Pirates, it’s a massive team,” Truter told his club’s media department.
“A team that can beat any team in South Africa as well.”
“But the occasion of the Soweto Derby will come into play, and I’m hoping that motivates the players.”
“Because ja, having played Celtic less than 48 hours ago, the issue of fatigue does come in, and the knocks, and other issues that we have to be mindful about.”
“So putting the best eleven on the park that’s going to be a challenge in itself. But, like I said now, the occasion, I’m hoping that motivates the boys, and you wouldn’t want to make too much changes in with your strongest eleven, but at the same time, you want to put the best eleven that’s available for you on the park.”
“But ja, I’m happy so far nobody came back with major knocks. And also we have everybody still available. But the issue of fatigue does play a role. So we have to manage that.”
“But it is our home game. They coming to Dobsonville, we still have our unbeaten record at Dobsonville, and we hoping to maintain that.”
