TS Galaxy have already found a new coach after sacking Owen Da Gama earlier this week.
The bottom-placed DStv Premiership side have appointed former goalkeeper Sead Ramovic on a three-year deal, the club confirmed on Friday.
Ramovich played for several clubs Germany such as Stuttgarter Kickers, VfL Stuttgart, Borussia M’gladbach, and Kickers Offenbach, while also featuring in Norway, Turkey, Serbia, Denmark, and Ukraine in a playing career that spanned over 15 years.
“TS Galaxy Football Club is delighted to announce Sead Ramovic as the new head coach of the Rockets on a three-year deal,” the club said in an official statement.
“The 42-year-old master tactician will take over the coaching reins from the departed Owen Da Gama.
“Ramovic boasts a wealth of international experience having played in top European leagues during his glittering career which spanned over 15 years.
“The former Wolfsburg net-minder put pen to paper on a three-year deal and the club President Tim Sukazi explained the reason behind the appointment of Ramovic.
TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi explained that he has known the new coach for a long time.
“We are quite delighted to have secured the services of Mr. Sead Ramovic as the Head Coach of TS Galaxy Football Club. I’ve known Sead during his playing days which made his move a seamless transaction,” he explained.
Ramovic himself added that his excited by the new challenge.
“I have fortunately known Mr. Sukazi for many years which made everything to be very easy. I am happy to work with coach Shaun who is a great legend and I have the greatest respect for him and the entire technical team of the club,” he explained.
“This is a great challenge given the situation where the club finds itself in but I have no doubt that there is enough talent in the group of players that will see things changing very soon.”
“Generally, I am the biggest admirer of South African football. I’ve watched many matches of TS Galaxy FC and I believe that this country is blessed with football talent which is why I could not resist the opportunity.”
TS Galaxy FC interim mentor, Shaun Bartlett, will continue to steer the ship until Ramovic receives his South Africa working permit.
