Tso Picks His PSL Three Best Young Players

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has picked his best three young players in the DStv Premiership this season.

The iDiskiTV analyst has chosen to praise SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana midfielders Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule as well as Marumo Gallants star Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo.

The former Buccaneers’ midfielder discussed the capabilities and strengths of these players in his iDiski Times column.

“Teboho Mokoena is a young player who gets me really excited, I really enjoy watching this young player play for both SuperSport and Bafana Bafana,” he wrote in iDiski Times.

“He is a good box-to-box midfielder who can play and defend. He has an excellent technique, he scored recently in the World Cup Qualifiers, and he was also on the scoresheet for South Africa in Tokyo during the Olympics.

“In my mind, this player deserves bigger and greater things, he must go to Europe. No need for him to play in South Africa.”

In addition, Vilakazi sees Mbule as one of the players who are expressive with the ball every time he plays and believes he will play for one of the big two Soweto teams.

“Mbule is a very arrogant on the ball. I love his arrogance as a midfielder, he needs that in his game,” he said.

“When the space closes, he has the guts to take on defenders. He is a very good midfielder, he must either go to Chiefs or Pirates.”

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa midfielder Ndlondlo caught Tso’s eye when he helped his team to lift the Nedbank Cup last season.

“Ndlondlo is slightly older, but I look at him as an emerging player because of his lack of professional experience,” said Vilakazi.

“I love his runs in the middle of the park. He has done well for Marumo Gallants. They won cups and are in Africa largely because of him, he deserves to play for Mamelodi Sundowns.”
