Orlando Pirates Head Coach Josef Zinnbauer says Sunday’s Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs is all about the three points, and he doesn’t want to be distracted by all the talk around the game.
Pirates are third on the DStv Premiership, four points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and Zinnbauer says his only focus is getting a win.
He says he doesn’t want to be distracted by it being the 100th derby, or whether Pirates can win all four derbies this season, as he wants to focus on the game itself.
“Ja, we have to win the game, that is important for me, not important that it’s four in a row,” Zinnbauer said in the pre-match presser.
“I’m happy about this four, yes, but when we win the game, but we have a lot of work for us and I don’t speak about four wins in a row.”
“We have to play this game and we have to focus on this game. It’s not important for me, the 100th derby, yes for the journalists, for the supporters, for the clubs also, it’s top 100 derbies, but for me as a coach you get not more than three points in this game.”
“I know it’s a hard game for us against a top opponent, a top club and we have to focus on this.”
