Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer is looking forward to being in his first final with the club, when they face Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN8 Final on Saturday evening.
Zinnbauer, who joined Pirates almost exactly a year ago, knows that Celtic will want to win the trophy too, but he says the mood in the camp is good.
Pirates have had a barren few years when it comes to trophies, and this would be a good opportunity for the club to pick up their first silverware since then-captain Lucky Lekgwathi raised the Nedbank Cup in 2014.
“I don’t know when was the last time Pirates played in the final of the MTN8‚ maybe seven or eight years ago‚ but it my first chance to play in the final,” Zinnbauer told the media in a digital press conference.
“We have to do all what we can to win this final, but we have an opponent who wants the same.”
“I am happy that we have the final. It was hard work for us, where we faced tough games along the way. “
“We will do our best to win this match, but we have a tough opponent who won against Sundowns. “
“The good thing is that the mood in camp is good and we are in the right direction.”
