Sutton Bites The Dust At Stars

Casric Stars have confirmed the sacking of coach Aschwin Sutton with immediate effect.

Sutton, who has had extensive coaching stints in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, was appointed during the off season to replace Bucs Mthombeni, who was the coach/owner last term and has since taken the CEO post within the club.

Mthombeni was in charge of Stars as they reached the PSL Playoffs but they lost all four allocated matches in the mini league, leading him to step down as coach.

Sutton’s last game was a shocking 2-0 loss to KwaZulu-Natal newbies side Milford FC on Saturday.

“Casric Stars FC Announces Departure of Head Coach Ashwin SuttonCasric Stars FC wishes to announce that we have parted ways with our Head Coach, Mr. Ashwin Sutton, effective immediately,” said the club’s statement.

“We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Sutton for his dedication and hard work during his tenure with the club. Mr. Sutton joined Casric Stars FC at a pivotal moment in our history, and his contributions to the team have been invaluable.

“Under his leadership, the club achieved significant milestones, and we will forever appreciate his passion, commitment, and the positive impact he has had on our players and staff.
