Seven of the eight MTN8 participants for next season have been confirmed with one Betway Premiership match remaining.

On Saturday, Golden Arrows booked their ticket after beating Chippa United 2-0 away from home.

The win saw Abafana Bes’thende move to 40 points and into sixth place on the log – Arrows secured their place in the Top 8 for the first time since 2020/21.

Meanwhile, Polokwane City also secured their Top 8 finish after holding Marumo Gallants to a 1-1 draw, with Rise and Shine also moving to 40 points.

With Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United already securing their MTN8 tickets, only the last spot is still up for grabs.

Durban City are currently eighth with 39 points, but they are challenged by Stellenbosch FC and Siwelele in ninth and tenth who both have 36 points. However, Durban City’s goal difference of plus/minus zero count in their favor, as both Stellenbosch and Siwelele have minus four.

The Citizens face AmaZulu in their final game, while Stellenbosch travel to Gallants, and Siwelele face Sekhukhune.
