Mamelodi Sundowns have released academy products Nicholus Lukhubeni and Siyanda Nyanga. Lukhubeni, 28, resurfaced at Marumo Gallants during pre-season after being informed his contract at Sundowns won’t be renewed. It ended his spell with the club – where he was promoted by then-head coach Pitso Mosimane back in 2019 before five separate loan moves. He spent time with TTM, Sekhukhune United, Maritzburg United, Moroka Swallows and Cape Town Spurs, racking up 85 appearances in the topflight.
