Chiefs Bow Out of CAF Confed Cup

Kaizer Chiefs bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2–1 away defeat to Zamalek SC at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria. Juan Alvina and Abdallah El Said scored for Zamalek, while Glody Lilepo netted the only goal for the visitors, which was not enough to secure the needed point. Amakhosi made three changes from the line-up that started against Al Masry, bringing on Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane and George Matlou for Aden McCarthy, Dillan Solomons and Mduduzi Shabalala. Both sides were cautious in the early stages of the match, with very few clear goal-scoring opportunities created at either end of the pitch.  Zamalek SC

Ouaddou Issues Stern Warning To Players, Revisits Circus Claims

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has issued a stern warning to players who are not serious about winning the league title this season. Ouaddou has previously stated that he wants a more ruthless attacking approach, stating if players want to mess around on the pitch they should go to the circus. And despite a 3-0 win over relegation-threatened Marumo Gallants that moved them six points clear at the summit of the league, he was not happy, with just one line reflecting on the game. “I think I can say the only positive point today is the three points, that’s

Mokwena Reacts To CACFL Exit After Loss At Loftus

MC Alger head coach Rulani Mokwena says Mamelodi Sundowns were the better team and deserved to progress to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League. The Algerian champions fell to a 2-0 defeat to Sundowns in Mokwena’s homecoming, his first time facing the club since his exit two seasons ago. Colombian striker Brayan León netted a goal in each half as MCA hardly looked threatening to Ronwen Williams’ goal in what was a hard fought victory from the home side – who needed three points to have any chance of progressing to the knockout stages. “Congratulations to Sundowns because in

It was a nervy must-win fixture for the Masandawana coach and his troops, who held their nerve as Colombian forward, Brayan León, a January marquee signing from Colombia, bagged a brace at Loftus Versfeld. “I think we made a
