Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Sizwe Twala won the Orange FA Cup Golden Boot with Gaborone United as they secured qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Twala, 26, was the Multichoice Diski Challenge top scorer award in 2018/19 but never made it into the first team at Naturena.
He joined the Botswana Premier League side at the start of the 2022/23 season after stints with Pretoria Callies and Swallows FC, after emerging from Chiefs development structures.
The striker has managed to play a crucial role in his debut season with three goals in the domestic cup en route to their 1-0 win in the final over Orapa United in which former Chippa United midfielder Thatayaone Kgamanyane netted a dramatic late winner.
Twala shares the award with former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Mogakolodi Ngele, who is currently on the books of Township Rollers.
United, who finished second behind champions Jwaneng Galaxy in the Botswana Premier League, will now enter the play-offs of the CAF inter-club competition for the 2023/24 season.
