Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has once again been linked with a return to the Botola Pro with pressure intensifying under Fadlu Davids at Raja Athletic Club.

Despite being firmly in the title race in the Moroccan top-flight with the Green Eagles, as they trail league leaders RS Berkane by only four points, the recent defeats to Wydad, Berkane and KAC Marrakech has seen them drop to fifth and create plenty of noise around the club’s supporters and media.

Davids remains well respected for his tactical acumen work done with the club, as head coach and in his first stint as an assistant where they did the domestic double unbeaten, but sources have confirmed there’s been talks of Nabi now resurfacing – with the Tunisian linked with the club and rivals Wydad a couple of months ago.

In one of the most enthralling title races in recent history in Morocco, at least five clubs look set to fight it out for the title, Berkane, Mas Fes, Wydad, ASFAR and Raja – making the next move for the club one of the most crucial in the context of the season.

While it won’t be ruled out that Davids – one of the most highly-rated coaches on the continent – could get more time to steer the ship back on track, the speculation around Nabi continuous to persist in Morocco.
