The UEFA Europa League journey of Siyabonga Ngezana and FCSB came to an end on Thursday after they were knocked out by Olympique Lyon.
Ngezana and FCSB had already played three rounds of UEFA Champions League qualifiers before dropping to the Europa League.
During the Europa League league phase they finished in 11th spot and had to go into a knockout phase play-off, where they beat Greek giants PAOK 4-1 on aggregate.
However, Ligue 1 side Lyon were too strong for the Romanian giants and eliminated them 7-1 on aggregate.
On Thursday, they lost the second leg 4-0, ending all hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.
