Former Sekhukhune United head coach Lehlohonolo Seema has been appointed as senior coach at Bantu Football Club in Lesotho.
The 44-year-old was fired by Sekhukhune in April despite the club sitting in fourth place. He had also guided Babina Noko into fourth last season and reached the Nedbank Cup final.
But then already, he had been released and replaced by Peter Hyballa. However, after the German tactician was let go over some off-the-pitch drama, Seema had returned and been in charge until he was replaced by Eric Tinkler.
On Thursday, Lesotho side Bantu FC welcomed Seema, who will work alongside head coach Charles Manda.
“The club is pleased to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Lehlohonolo Seema as Senior Coach for the senior team, effective immediately,” the club stated.
“Mr. Seema will collaborate with Head Coach Mr. Charles Manda in steering the team for the remainder of the current season.
“A highly qualified and accomplished coach, Mr. Seema has a successful track record, having coached prominent clubs in the South African Premier League. We are confident that his appointment will yield positive results for the team.
“Please join us in welcoming him to the club.”
Bantu FC are currently in third place in the Lesotho Premier League, seven points behind leaders Lioli with six games left to play.
