Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club played to a 1-1 draw against Club Africain in a pre-season friendly match in Tunisia on Sunday evening.
A calamitous own goal by Nabil Marmouk gave the hosts the lead in the 14th minute. Marmouk’s back pass was overhit and Mhamdi was unable to stop it from going in the net, and that was the only score in the first half.
Wydad were, however, level just past the hour mark when Mohamed Rayhi scored for Mokwena’s team to make it 1-1.
It was the second successive 1-1 draw in pre-season after they also drew with RCA Zemamra, while they beat Azam 4-1 in their first match of pre-season.
Mokwena will continue preparation with the team ahead of the kick off of the Botola Pro League.
