Seoposenwe Scores To Lead Her Club To Title

Banyana Banyana star Jermaine Seoposenwe has won her first title with Rayadas Monterrey after netting an important goal in the final.

Monterrey lost the first leg away from home against defending champions Club América 1-0. Going to the second leg they needed to show up in front of their supporters, and that’s what the Banyana star did.

Seaposenwe and her ladies went down 1-0 inside 10 minutes and needed at least two goals to equal the match and force for penalties.

Seaposenwe equalized in the 26th minute and revived the stadium and her teammates with a superb finish from a tight angle.

They pushed for more and were awarded a penalty deep in the second half pushing the match to the penalties, which they won 4-3 to be crowned champions.

The 2022 WAFCON winner has scored 10 goals this season and also had four assists.

The Torneo Clausura 2024 is Seaposenwe’s first trophy since making her move to Monterrey last year. She helped Monterrey to win their first title since 2021 when they won Grita Mexico.
