Al Ahly have unveiled the signing of Tunisia international midfielder Mohamed Alli Ben Romdhane in a reported $1.6-million (R28.5 million) transfer.
It marks a major coup to land the 25-year-old who is considered one of the finest talents in African football as they lured him back to the continent from Ferencváros – the club he joined from Esperance Sportive de Tunis.

The move to the Hungarian giants was seen as a pathway to Europe’s top five leagues but Ahly have convinced the 46-time capped Carthage Eagles star of their project ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
He’s penned a ‘long-term’ deal with the Red Devils joining the likes of Mahmoud Trezequet, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Hamdi Fathi while Aliou Dieng also returns after his loan stint in the Saudi Pro League.
