Former CAF Champions League winner, Wayne Arendse has left Highlands Park after back-to-back Gauteng Development League (GDL) titles.
Arendse, 40, has slotted seamlessly into his transition from playing to coaching with the Lions of the North, heading up their U19 squad in recent seasons.

The 2016 African Champions League winner and former Santos icon won the GDL twice, the last of which was a pulsating title race with his former club Masandawana.
However, this website has been informed that Arendse is now looking to take his coaching career to greater heights and break through into the professional ranks after cutting his teeth at youth level.

After 15 years in professional football, where he starred for the Peoples Team and Sundowns, Arendse boasts a wealth of experience on and off the field and is in the process of securing his CAF A License after graduating from his B course last year.
