Bance Closing In On Next Move In PSL

Former Marumo Gallants midfielder Ibrahim Bance looks set to complete his next move in the Premier Soccer League, with Chippa United closing in on his services.

Bance, 25, proved to be one of the revelations of Gallants last season after his arrival from Ivorian league champions Stade d’Abidjan.

The ASEC Mimosas product with experience of playing in Sweden at Helsingborgs IF and in the United States of America with Real Monarchs and took to South African football with grace – starring in their midfield as a technically gifted six.

He was part of the squad that reached the Carling Knockout Cup final where they fell short at the final hurdle against Orlando Pirates and it came as a surprise at the end of the season, when he was available on the market as a free agent after his contract expired with Gallants.

Recent media reports have linked the Burkina Faso midfielder with several clubs, including the Chilli Boys and his representative, Mike Makaab of ProSport International has since confirmed talks remain ongoing.

“We are in discussions with Chippa and there are a number of other club’s we’re talking to at the moment, but I have to say our discussions with Chippa are progressing,” Makaab confirmed to iDiski Times.

Brandon Truter’s side have been active in bolstering their midfield options this season with the signing of Mali midfielder Daba Diakité, Muhammad Carrim after his stint in Belgium and securing Goodman Mosele from Orlando Pirates on a permanent deal.
