Banyana Banyana striker Hildah Magaia has signed for Saudi Women’s Premier League outfit Al-Ittihad Ladies Club.

The 31-year-old South African forward was most recently with Spanish Liga F club Deportivo de La Coruña but opted to cut ties with the club after just six months.

Though she is a household name that has been pivotal in Banyana’s dominance in the SADC region, she shot to stardom after bagging a brace that secured South Africa’s maiden CAF WAFCON title in 2022 with a 2-1 win over Morocco.

Since turning professional in 2016, the Dennilton-born attacker first cut her teeth in the industry at University of Pretoria Women’s Football Club, while also turning for the likes of Morön BK – Sweden, Sejong Sportstoto WFC – South Korea, Mazatlán FC and Club Tijuana – Mexico, and Kansas City Current in the USA.

The Jeddah-based club announced ‘Bread Winner’s capture on Friday afternoon.
