Orlando Pirates have given a positive update on the duo of Thalente Mbatha and Evidence Makgopa who have been sidelined due to respective injuries.
Mbatha started the season but missed Pirates’ 1-1 Betway Premiership clash against AmaZulu at Kings Park Stadium in Durban last month, while Makgopa has yet to feature in all of the sides’ matches this season.
At the time, club coach Abdeslam Ouaddou revealed that both players were still dealing with injuries they carried over from the previous campaign.
The club has now provided a positive update on the duo as well as the likes of captain Nkosinathi Sibisi and new signing Mohau Nkota.
“Mohau Nkota has to wait a while longer for his own official homecoming as he continues to recover from an injury picked up late last season,” the club announced on its official website.
“Further reinforcements could come in the form of club captain Nkosinathi Sibisi, who could soon return to action after missing out the Soweto Giants’ last three fixtures.
“Midfielder Thalente Mbatha meanwhile continues to edge closer to a return to full training alongside striker Evidence Makgopa.”
