Cape Town City’s incoming coach Andries Ulderink has arrived in South Africa after a brief spell in Belgium.
Even though the Dutch coach will only take officially charge in the new season, he is spending some time with the team ahead of the upcoming promotional playoffs.

The former Ajax Cape Town coach just had a short spell as interim coach at Royal Antwerp after leaving his role as assistant at Scottish giants Rangers in the beginning of year.
Ulderink, who has been City’s candidate since January, has also been linked with an assistant role to Erik ten Hag at Bundesliga giants Bayer 04 Leverkusen but at this rate it still looks like he will take over the Citizens ahead of 2025/26.
He has been consulting with the current technical team and meeting the City players before they play their crucial playoff fixtures against Orbit College and Casric Stars in attempt to save their Betway Premiership status.
This is Ulderink’s second visit to City, having made a brief stop in February. He is expected to take over the head coach position in July.
City kick off the playoffs against Orbit College on 14 June, before traveling to Casric Stars four days later. They finish the playoffs with a trip to Orbit on 25 June and hosting Casric on 28 June.
