Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Sizwe Twala has officially left Botswana giants Gaborone United, iDiski Times has learnt.
Twala, 26, was the Multichoice Diski Challenge top scorer award in 2018/19 but never made it into the first team at Naturena.
He joined the Botswana Premier League side in February 2022 after stints with Pretoria Callies and Moroka Swallows, after emerging from Chiefs development structures.
Despite being troubled by a hamstring injury, Twala made 10 appearances and scored one goal, helping Gaborone to win the league in his first six months with the club.
Twala then had a good start of 2022/23 season making his first ever appearance in the CAF Champions League before making league appearances and netting three goals.
Later on he was awarded the top goalscorer award in the Botswana FA Cup after scoring three goals in five appearances. His side won the final 1-0 over Orapa United in which former Chippa United midfielder Thatayaone Kgamanyane netted a dramatic late winner.
iDiski Times has learnt that Twala parted ways with Gaborone United on mutual agreement and the South African-born forward is seeking a move to South African top flight football.
