SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says the club are working on finalising the deal for Christian Saile, while Tashreeq Morris has left the club to join Kaizer Chiefs.
Amakhosi and Matsatsantsa are working on the exchange of Morris, who is set to join the Soweto giants, while Saile is moving the other way.
Hunt admitted that Saile’s deal is not over the line yet, because a lot of admin needs to be done for foreign signings.
“The paperwork and obviously he’s a foreign player, so all those things go on behind the scenes – I’m not really [involved], I mean I get ‘we’re at this point, we’re at that point’,” he stated on Thursday during the press conference ahead of his side’s Nedbank Cup clash with Magesi FC.
“Certainly, tonight or this afternoon, I’ll have more information. Right now, I don’t really have too much on him.
“Obviously I know what we’re getting in. I will obviously use him differently, but that’s another case from a football perspective. But right now, we need to [finalise everything] because it’s quite complicated with this type of deals.”
Hunt also confirmed that Morris has left the club ahead of his imminent move to Chiefs.
“I was saying to Morris go. I mean he’s going to a great club, great opportunity for him. It’s a life-changing experience for him,” he added.

“I saw him yesterday and I wish him well.”
While Chiefs take on Free Agents on Sunday, Hunt’s SuperSport will face Magesi on Tuesday evening.
