Kerr Makes Shock Gallants Decision

Marumo Gallants head coach Dylan Kerr has resigned from his role on Monday, just 28 days after his return to Mzansi.

Kerr was appointed by the club for a ‘second stint’ after they acquired the status of Moroka Swallows in the Betway Premiership.

However, sources within the club stated Kerr had grown disillusioned by the happenings behind the scenes in preparation for the new campaign.

Latest news received by this publication is that chairman Abram Sello wanted to bring in two additional coaches to work as co-coaches alongside Kerr.

But iDiski Times understands that Kerr feels left out of too many decisions by the club when it comes to technical team and players, with the club still working with former Swallows players as well as players from the old Gallants that competed in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.

As a consequence, the Maltese-born English football manager, who had hinted at some of these issues in an exclusive interview with iDiski Times this week, has decided to step down from his role.

Kerr’s decision comes just 28 days after he arrived back in South Africa to take the reigns at Gallants after the purchase of Swallows’ Betway Premiership status.
