American club Racing Louisville have announced the signing of Banyana Banyana star Linda Motlhalo.
A month after Thembi Kgatlana departed Louisville, the American club have brought another South African in, with Motlhalo joining from Glasgow City.
Motlhalo joins on a two year deal, signing for an undisclosed fee.
“I am very excited for the new journey and new challenge that I am about to embark on,” Motlhalo told the club’s media department.
“To be playing in the NWSL for Racing Louisville FC, it is an honor, and I will give absolutely everything I have to help this team win. I am grateful for the opportunity, and I am loooking forward to the season.”
This is Motlhalo’s second spell in the USA, having previously played with Kgatlana and Janine Van Wyk at Houston Dash, when former Banyana Banyana coach Vera Pauw was in charge.
