Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe has addressed reports linking Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi with a move to Orlando Pirates, saying it’s just rumours.
In the last transfer window Appollis was heavily linked with Kaizer Chiefs and Esperance de Tunis, while Matuludi was linked with Pirates and Stellenbosch FC but none of the said moves materialised.
The pair is once again grabbing headlines in the January window, with both linked to the Buccaneers.
Addressing the media in Polokwane after his side’s 1-1 draw with Sekhukhune United, Mohafe said people have their own agendas and he is not going to entertain that, while adding that the players who started the game also know what’s at stake.
“You know with this issue of our players being linked with other people, let it be their own agenda,” said Mohafe.
“But I think we shouldn’t be engaging with it anymore because it’s just rumours that are flying around and I’d rather not comment further about this but as you checked the players are here.
“So that tells you something else. Let the headlines fly but I don’t have to talk to them, these players, they know what is at stake for them.”
