New Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Gaston Sirino is on the list of players they’re looking at.
Nabi experienced his first defeat in Chiefs colours after Young Africans SC gave Amakhosi a wake-up call in their 4-0 Toyota Cup-thrashing on Sunday.

After the match, Nabi insisted that the club still need to improve the quality in their squad, but he wouldn’t reveal which positions he still wants to strengthen.
On Thursday, the Tunisian tactician confirmed that they are looking into potentially adding Sirino to their squad.
“Looking at the names you’ve given me, yes they are part of the large list that we have put together and we’re busy looking at,” he told SuperSport TV.
“For a case like Sirino, yes he is a very experienced player. We definitely want to look at him.
“We want to see if he’s physically ready, and he would be a plus into our philosophy.”
Sirino, 33, was one four players who were released by the club upon the expiry of their contracts on 30 June and it is understood that he would like to remain in South Africa.
The Uruguay winger joined Sundowns in January 2018, scoring 41 goals and setting up 44 more in 202 appearances for the club. Overall, he’s lifted 12 trophies at Chloorkop, including seven DStv Premiership titles.
