Baroka FC have announced the signing of Tlisane Motaung as the club’s new head coach following the suspension of Dan Malesela.
Motaung will be assisted by Thoka Matsimela until end of the season, the club announced on Tuesday.
On Monday, the club’s chairman Khurishi Mphahlele had told iDiski Times that Malesela was suspended after Baroka dropped into the relegation spots.
Bakgakga find themselves in 15th spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on just four points, having picked up just a single win in seven outings.
This past weekend, Baroka lost 2-0 to Pretoria University at home for their fifth defeat of the season.
Club chairman Mphahlele had confirmed on Monday that ‘Dance’ had been placed on suspension, despite reports that he had been fired, though he did not disclose the nature of the suspension.
